Ireland and the Magdalene Laundries

Welcome to the archive of Ireland and the Magdalene Laundries: A Campaign for Justice, which was published by IB Tauris/Bloomsbury on 9th September 2021. In line with our goal to challenge knowledge suppression, we are making available our source materials via this archive. Private correspondence and other materials that are not accessible to the public are available on this page.

We are extremely grateful to Max Keith Feenan who assisted us with redactions and the content for this page. We are also indebted to Dr Jennifer O’Mahoney and Kieran Cronin at Waterford Institute of Technology for their careful work in compiling the archive of JFM’s 2009-2013 political campaign. Sincere thanks to Conall Ó Fátharta who donated the materials he obtained via Freedom of Information, and to Sheila Ahern who gave us access to the archive of the late Mary Raftery.

The book can be purchased from your local book store.
